I am a firm believer in the quote “Creativity happens in the present moment.” I know it does for me. When I get an idea I never sit down and try to work it all out on paper. I just start doing! So this blog will be all about “ the doing and creating handmade.” I love creating; doing craft/home projects, photography, reading, cooking, (sometimes) online shopping…the list goes on. So here within my blog I plan on featuring a variety of those interests. I do have a shop on Etsy.com that I started in 2011 and have really enjoyed that journey. What a lot to learn! I had no idea but am so glad that I became part of the Etsy community. To anyone who is contemplating that leap….I highly recommend it!
You might also see a favorite Art and Craft show featured here from time to time since I have been participating in shows for many years. The shows have always been a great opportunity for meeting people and getting great feedback on your creative works.
I support and love the handmade movement that seems to be happening everywhere! I feel a lot of people are tired of cookie cutter products and are looking for unique in their lives. I am looking forward to writing about unique items I find in Etsy shops, featuring Etsy shop owners, doing a tutorial on something I have had fun making; and don’t forget that great recipe, great reads of late, maybe a recent photo outing or a fun home improvement project. I am also interested in the green/upcycle trend and the impact that has had on our creativity. So happy creating and supporting the handmade movement!!
