New Vinyl Designs

Be-You-tiful
Been busy this week working on new vinyl decal designs.  So many ideas and not enough time!  But I love some of the new designs I was able to get finished this week.  In the first Hope anchors the Soul I used one of our new vinyl colors...Charcoal Gray.  I love the softness of the color...a nice alternative from black but still dark enough to stand out.

This vinyl design is great for a variety of uses.  A great motivational vinyl decal that can be used in a nursery, master bedroom, master bath, family room, salon or spa...the list goes on.  We also have this with a leaf design instead of the peacock feather.  Either one is a separate decal so can be re-positioned or totally left out during application.

Also designed several Monogram Decals.  So many fun uses for these.  Instead of a large one on the wall they could also sized for a laptop, mirror, or even a wooden sign.  Available in many different colors....Check these out on Etsy

Custom Design

Custom Design

Original Design
This is one of my favorite sayings we have in vinyl!  So much fun and makes a great kitchen design of course.  The original design is the one we have in our Etsy Shop listed under the section Kitchen Vinyl Designs.

But I love the way it turned out here in the custom redesign used above cupboards. We have also customized this design to put on a fridge ( not shown here ).

So thanks to our customers photos, we can share some great ideas on how to use vinyl in your home.

Personalized Custom Kitchen Vinyl Decal

Custom Kitchen Vinyl Decal

Custom Kitchen Vinyl Decal
Just listed this Personalized Custom Vinyl Decal in my Etsy Shop.  I love the concept of being able to personalize this decal.

Perfect gift for that gourmet cook! Or maybe you are like me, more of a down home simple recipe cook,  My grandmother's name was Lucy so that is why I chose that name for the listing photo.  She was certainly a down home and wonderful cook.   One of those cooks that never followed a recipe and absolutely never wrote one down.  She was up early on a Sunday morning making pies, putting in a beef and pork roast in the oven, and making sure everything was seasoned to perfection!

This vinyl decal is already sized in three sizes but we can always resize to fit within your space.  You can get all the details here.

Jimmy V Quote Designs

Jimmy V
I am starting out 2015 trying to add some new vinyl designs to my Etsy Shop.  This particular quote I actually have had in the shop but thought it needed a totally different approach. The first two photos are my new design and the last photo is the one that has been in the shop.  The new design is a more tailored approach in the use of fonts and layout.  The last design uses a script font that has more flourishes.  Choice of font and layout has such an amazing impact on the total look of the decal.   I like them both.  I think it really depends on the type of space you intend on using the design and if your prefer  a more tailored simple look or something with a little more flair. You can check them out further in my shop.  Either can be custom sized and cut in a variety of colors.

  In This House Vinyl Decal

There is a story behind the designing of this vinyl.  I have been taking a month long seminar offered by Etsy.  The course is for advanced sellers that want to take their shops to the next level.  There are two lessons per week.  We are two weeks into the seminar and so far I am really enjoying it!  It started out by asking some very thoughtful questions that really make you exam the purpose of your business, what you hope to accomplish with it, what you are most proud of, and what emotion your brand promise elicits in your buyers. Takes some thought, believe me.  I even pulled my husband into the thought process.  I needed some input besides just my own.
Quickly we were to jot down 20 words that best describes your business.  OK....this will not be hard to do!  Think again!  But in the end, after much deliberating, we did come up with almost 20 words. But a few that really stood out for me was Love, Joy, Laughter, Sentiment, Thought Provoking.  Then we were to write down our Brand Promise. OK.. let me think......"We would like our products to help people bring love, joy, laughter, and sentiment into their lives and the lives of others in a thought provoking manner."  In other words, if our quotes and sayings can elicit some good thoughts that you can carry with you throughout your day, maybe even making a difference in your actions and your relationships, then, in a small way, we can make a little difference in this world.

In This House Vinyl Decal
So this vinyl design came about a few weeks ago.  Yesterday someone purchased it and these were her comments:
I have been searching for many ways to guide and teach my children about the importance of Family and how we need to always stay close, forgive one another, love one another, hug and show love. When I saw your arrangement and the wording it just all clicked that I need this in MY HOME. My husband and I are looking for ways to keep positive thoughts in our home. We are thrilled to have a constant reminder on how we ALL need to act in our House and we cannot wait to READ this saying every day to our boys Luke and Christopher.

I love customer feedback because it is the only way, when you have an online business especially, that you become aware that what you do can make a difference!  I am looking forward to the next two weeks and completing the seminar but I already am super glad I decided to try and fit it into my weekly schedule. I love the fact that someone will be placing this on their wall and carrying those thoughts with them throughout their day!  I'm a happy camper!!

New Vinyl Designs

New Vinyl Designs on Mulberry Creek Etsy

Within the last  week we have added several new vinyl decal designs to our Etsy shop.  Here are just a few.

This first one was actually a request from a customer  and we liked it so much that we decided to add it to our shop.  It;s simple, and therefore works nicely added to a family gallery photo wall.  Family is everything. It is sized 20" X 8".

Our second design is The Gathering Room
It measures 27" X 10" but can always be resized to fit your space.  Lots of possibilities for this one...family room, kitchen, great room, or wherever your family likes to come together for those special moments and special occasions.

This has been a very popular quote/saying in the past so we decided to redesign it and change the total layout.  This design measures 25" X 22" , making it more square rather than the rectangular measurements of our first design.  However both are still available in our Etsy Shop.  This new design and size can be found at Dance in the Rain.

Good Morning Sunshine, which includes the flower, measures 22.5" X 9".  All vinyls are shown in black vinyl.   Other color vinyl is available.  And all can be resized for that custom look to fit right within your space.  Good Morning Sunshine

Hope these new designs give some inspiration for your fresh spring decor!

Large Vinyl Application

The application of a large vinyl to a wall can be a little daunting I realize.  We did one awhile back in a large fellowship room of a church.  It turned out really nice and actually went up rather smoothly.

Measuring and Taping

Before starting any vinyl application  make sure your surface is clean and free of dust.  The second thing is to measure, measure, measure!  If you have a laser level you are set!  They are a wonderful tool and really help in getting things straight.  Measure down from the ceiling if possible and use a water based "Stabilo" pencil to mark your line.  The line can be wiped off with a damp cloth when you are finished.
Then tape your design in place.

Cutting your design into sections

With a large design it really helps to cut it into smaller sections to make it easier to work with. Tape along the top of the design.  Then cut horizontally into smaller sections.  Make sure you have all the sections taped in place to the wall on either the  top or bottom as shown in the next photo.

So now you can start to work with your smaller sections as you would with any vinyl application.   But as you can see, not having to deal with the whole design at one time really makes it go much easier and faster in the end.

Applying the design in sections

Finished Project

Your finished project will look very professional by using this method and you will be very happy with the results!!  So get started and don't be afraid of a large vinyl!!  Home is not a place....it is a Feeling vinyl decal can be found in our Etsy Shop  at this link.

Vinyl Wall Decal Always Kiss Me Goodnight

New Vinyl Wall Decal for Master Bedroom Decor

Master Bedroom Vinyl Decal

Here is the newest vinyl design in our Etsy Shop this week.  A classic, "Always Kiss Me Goodnight" along with the addition of the chandelier.  The chandelier has candles featured and just adds that special touch to an all time favorite.

It is in black vinyl but can be cut in other colors and resized to fit within your space.  This would make a great starting "inspirational" piece for that total master bedroom make over, or maybe just a simple addition to easily perk up your room.  Click here to view more details on this design... Always Kiss Me Goodnight

Family Roots Vinyl Decal

This is a brand new vinyl that I just designed using a new script font  ( new to me ).  I love the family gallery walls being created in today's home decor. In addition to being fun and decorative, they also are a great conversation starter.  Sometimes they are all current photos.   But sometimes they can be pictures taken over generations.  I kind of like the latter because I love old photos and have done some genealogy research on our family.  So a combination of current and older photos can make a nice source for conversation and the telling of family stories.  And some of those stories can be quite interesting!

This vinyl measures approx 30" X 11".  It can be re-sized however to fit within your space.  I designed it with the thought in mind of being able to tuck different size frames in and around the words, but frames can also be grouped below or even off to one side.  It is shown here in black vinyl but we have lots of other colors of vinyl to choose from.  So gather some favorite photos and let's get to work on that story telling wall!  Family Roots Vinyl Decal by Mulberry Creek on Etsy.
